The past couple of weeks have been a bit agonizing, as I came to grips with the fact that I need to put The Squeeze on pause for at least two months, perhaps a bit more. This was a hard decision to make, but it’s clear that this is the only path forward right now.
During this period, I will publish at least one more free issue — I’m working on it now — and will continue benefits for paid subscribers (I am pausing monthly payments, though). As always, you are free to unsubscribe whenever you like, but I hope you hang in there with me, as I intend to return to more regular writing as soon as I am able.
Please note: I am not disappearing off the face of the earth! Your leads, story ideas, questions, and feedback are always welcome. I’ve also decided to host a Zoom gathering for ALL subscribers this coming Monday. After rapid-fire intros, let’s discuss how we balance our creative work with the realities of LIFE (and the occasional crisis 🥴), and if time permits, I’d love to hear your thoughts on previous reporting from The Squeeze and/or future story ideas.

Thanks Skye for being so transparent about this very difficult juggling act. Your work is worth the wait!
I totally understand. My daughter just turned 2 and she's definitely a handful. It can be a struggle getting work.
